I give my condolences to all of the familys of the 911 tagedies. I felt the pain for our country that day and for the terrible lose of so many lives. I take a moment often to reflect on who we are as a country. I love AMERICA. I love others from other lands also. I am by far prejidice(hope its sp. right lol) to all of you who slam this country and other countries, I wish there was an island for you to go to and be happy, but, since you can't find a place of happiness I am sorry. I do wish people of all cultures and back grounds a blessed and wonderful year. Please help spread some happiness try smiling --It takes fewer muscles to smile than frown!!!!

A day in the life of a mom.

Many times in life we have to make difficult choice. One of the most difficult for me is the choices I make for my children. Some of those decisions shape who they are. Some shape who they will become. Some shape where in life they will go. I try to make those decisions with careful thought. I enjoy all their differences and all of their achievments no matter how small they may seem.
Take for instance my 9 year old daughter (who by the way wants so badly to be a teen lol  ) Every single decision I make for her has to be thought out. I dont want her in any situations where her decisions will hurt her. I am ver protective but in the same respect i give them alot of room to be who they are and who they are wanting to be.
You say all of this is confusing well try being a Teen for a day---Whats that you have already been there. Well go back a bit and try having some campassion on them these are by far the most difficult years of their entire life. Let them have enough space to be them selves but not enough to fall off the cliff. ( figuratively speeking) Well I do wish you all ahappy and fun school year.

Thank you for your feedback

I am going to attempt to answer some of the things said on my comments to previous blogs.
Teens ---- hmmmm that can be a simple and yet a difficult thing. I love teens I think they are awsome. They all seem to have what us adults dont have and thats no care or little care about what others think. The best advise I can give on such a big subject is this.
1. Be respectful: Even if it seems you get none in return. Some day you will recieve all the respect you give.
2. Remember your as important as any adult: maybe more so in the simple
    Fact -- your the future.
3. Remember those around you that have live and learned will be you best
    advisors.
4.  Respect your self enough to make good choices. You know what those
    Good choices are.
5. Live life to the fullest -- But, always with in moral and legal bounds.
6. Make goals for your future-- and work as hard as you can toward them.

Remember to smile--  After the 15 to 18 years it  does get better things
do start to make sense. Karrie

p.s This is advise from experience. We all make mistakes But, its learning from them that truely matters.

Seize The Moment

Have you ever watched kids playing on a merry-go-round?

Or listened to the rain lapping on the ground?

Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?

Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?

Do you run through each day on the fly?

When you ask "How are you ?" do you hear the reply?

When the day is done, do you lie in your bed

With the next hundred chores running through your head?

Ever told your child, " We'll do it tomorrow?

And, in your haste, not see his/her  sorrow?

Ever lost touch, let a good friendship die,

'Cause you never had time to call and say, "Hi"?

When you run so fast to get somewher,

You miss half the fun of getting there .

When you worry and hurry through your day,

It is like an unopened gift... Thrown away.

You'd better slow down.

Don't dance so fast.

Time is short,

The music won't last .

Life is not a race.

Do take it slower.

Hear the music

Before the song is over.

Now... go on and have a nice day. Do something you WANT to... not something on your "should do"list.

I wish you a relaxed and joyful fathers day weekend. Karen

My Beautiful Daughter

Goodmorning Friends !!!!!!

Ok I know Sarah likes the color White, But I cant Write on here in white and You read it. lololol

My daughter sarah -- Where do I begin?,. She is beautiful__ very level headed__ She loves anything to do with the CSI> crime scenes --virtual surgerys and autopsys on the web are just a few of the things she enjoys studying. She is an awsome artist. She has done a few drawings of some of us.They are awsome.

She has already decided what college she wants to attend. One of the best for A crime scene investigator.

ok By now you think she is maybe 18 or even 20 nope -- she is an awsome 14(15 july 17th)     She is very very smart. She is a straight A student. She is always keepin me on my toes.

Sarah is such a joy to be around. She even like me to hang with her. lol We have so much fun. alot of the times we stay up untill all hours laughin and talkin and watchin CSI. lol

I love homeschooling sarah. She has such an awsome personality. Her sisters love her, her brother fears her, everyone else is amazed by her. I am soooooo very proud of the young lady she has turned out to be.

I'm sure boys cross her mind but, they dont cloud it. I love you Sarah so very much and I am proud of you. I can't forget to mention that  she wins almost all of our arguments. lol

My sons Poem-16 yrs. old.

Lifes harsh lessons come, for some, at a young age. Mostly brought on ourselves.,But for alot of us brought on by others. Being a teenager in a world full of adults can be very discouraging. Some of us as Teens vent in many different ways. Girls, alot of times cry. Boys alot of times  turn to violence. These things can be the case for either. I would like to share a little of the way my son vents. You can check my album for pictures of my children.

                          Survival

Through a life of hate we travel

Learning  our mistakes are our greatest challenges

As we go through each day, as we watch life fly by

We realize that one day everything will parish that we love most

Our desires are our greatest need

our greatest need is our survival

survival is the hardest force to master in the universe.

You know I have sat back and felt helpless thru the pains he has felt. Betrail by church people he trusted. I have heard the lies he has been told. Thru, it all as a mother all I can do is reassure him of all of his successes. I continue to tell him of his great worth to me and to god. I do hope thru all the trials he faces in life, he knows at all times there is someone in this cruel world that adores him. I am very proud of all of my children and I continue to marvel at all their achievements. So when you think to lie or hurt a teenager., Stop, think ,then shut your mouth. They are a work in progress.!!!!

I know that was harsh I am sorry to those who read this that we love. But somethings just have to be said to those reading that have no oppinion that really matters about my children.

Remember to Smile.  Take time to tell a teen You care. Preferably one you may have hurt or ignored or lied about.  Becareful to never purchase things for a child then ask for them back or say hey " he took my ball" or what ever the case may be.  The ball was a gift by the way.  Ty all for reading. karen

O, I wrote in green because his fav. color is green. Children need us to notice the little things.

Homeschooling Diary

Today will be a day of variety. Most of my school days are. Sometimes I have questioned if I can go just one more day. Then I get up, make a cup of Java or cappachino. I shake off the worries and the doubts. Yes, even a seasoned homeschooler has her doubts.  My children continue to shine so I know I am going in the right direction. What direction U ask Hmmmmm. . Well, I will tell you when I get there. In about 9 more years. I do believe some things don't hold all the answers , untill you have reached the end of your journey.

One of the keys to it all is a sense of humor. Humor is the key. I will share a cute story with you. My 13 year old daughter is so sweet and she never takes things to serious.  his past december we were driving to my mothers about an hour away, and I was trying to remember What ashley had asked for for christmas. Ok i remembered the CD's she wanted --the headphones, ---the out fit-- but theres a few others I just couldnt remember so i interrupted their music and asked her "ashley what do u want for christmas?" she answered very seriously" HAM AND GLAZE" lol

Life is full of adversities and bumps. My advise is to buy good running shoes and and new tires.

If you have any  questions please feel free to write to me at   garry_karrie4@hotmail.com  Ty and remember to laugh.
